Buhari should Honourably Resign Since He Can No Longer Secure Nigerians – Udoka
In 2015, Muhammadu Buhari was elected president of Nigeria, a country sometimes touted as Africa’s largest democracy, “only in name”.
Buhari defeated Goodluck Jonathan, whose major achievement during his tenure as president was leading the nation in becoming Africa’s largest economy.
But Jonathan’s failures in national security—including the notorious kidnapping of 276 girls from a secondary school in Chibok in April 2014 by the terrorist group Boko Haram.
Buhari, a former military general, ran and was at least partially chosen by a majority of voters due to his promise to end security issues in areas of conflict, notably in the country’s northern region.
Seven years after the Chibok kidnapping, 112 of the girls are still missing.
Between December 2021 and now, over 1,000 persons was abducted,
A country where tracking devices were shut down for non payment.
Days ago, terrorists attacked the advance convoy of President Buhari in Katsina State as well as the Correctional Facility in Kuje, Abuja yesterday night.
This underscores the collapse of security command and control structure.
For ISWAP that claimed responsibility of that attack to operate unchallenged is a proof that no one is safe in this contraption called Nigeria.
I weep for my country.
Yet APC with their abysmal performance still want to continue and some gullible Nigerians that want to reinforced failure are there singing their hallelujah songs.
For a country where kidnapping has became a lucrative business, a country where bandits walks into churches and massacre worshipers and boasts of their mission to islamise Nigeria ?
We just need to reset this country as nothing is working because no one is safe in this country if the President’s convoy could be attacked and a correctional centre, “which was just a few kilometers to the seat of power held hostage by terrorists.”
The failure and inaction of the government have buoyed the heinous and condemnable crimes of the terrorists who now make a fortune from the odious venture of kidnapping Nigerians and have gone as far as collecting taxes like in Kaduna where farmers have so far paid N400 million in protection tax to Fulani terrorists.
This is the time for either Buhari to resign or be impeached if only the National Assembly members are ready to save over 200million Nigerians Udoka stressed.
